Scholarship

Membership is available to individuals who are actively employed in military comptrollership, as active duty or civilian personnel. Associate membership is available for persons who do not meet the qualifications but are currently employed in a defense related financial management field. Employees of private sector companies who are interested in ASMC membership may join under the corporate membership program.

• Application may be mailed to address on form - or faxed to 703-549-3181 if payment is by credit card. No e-mail or phone applications will be accepted.
• Please allow ten business days for application processing, and two to six weeks for your new member kit. (We mail in batches once per month.)
• New members must allow ten business days for processing before utilizing member benefits. (see above criteria for membership)
• Membership fee is non refundable and non transferrable.

  Membership applications are also available by calling ASMC National Headquarters at (800)462-5637 or by contacting your local chapter. The types of memberships are:

  Active Membership

  Active membership is available to persons who are or have been employed as professionals in the military comptrollership field. Dues for active membership are annual and are currently $26.

  Life Membership

  ASMC, unlike many organizations, has a special road to life membership. You can only become a life member after 20 consecutive years of membership. This is done to place special emphasis on sustained support of the society. There are currently over 700 Life Members of ASMC. To these members we say congratulations and thanks for your support. The dues structure is the same as active membership.

  Associate Membership

  Persons who, though not qualified for active or life membership, are employed in a field related to military comptrollership field may become associate members. The dues structure is the same as active membership.

  Corporate Membership

  Corporate membership is available for businesses interested in the military comptrollership field. Dues are annual and are $250, which includes one designee. Additional designees are $26 each. Corporate members receive all benefits of an active membership, as well as discounts for advertisements in the national journal and exhibit space at the national conference.   Honorary Membership

  Honorary membership is awarded to persons making significant contributions to the military comptrollership field who are not eligible for membership or would not be otherwise expected to join the society through one of the other classes. Honorary membership is only awarded by the National Executive Committee. To submit an individual for honorary membership, complete an individual membership application (no fee required) with a cover letter stating the reqest for honorary membership and the reason behind the request.
